Hunt for Holloway nightclub bottle attacker

POLICE are appealing to the public for information after a man was smashed over the head with a bottle in a nightclub.

Officers were called to The Egg Club, in York Way, Holloway, at around 4.15am on Saturday, after a 21-year-old was attacked with a glass beer bottle.

Witnesses saw the attacker arguing with the victim, before smashing a bottle into his face and fleeing the scene. The victim was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital and has since been discharged.

Police are now asking anyone with any information about the incident to contact them. The attacker was white, 5ft 10ins tall and aged between 20 and 25. Anyone with information should contact Islington CID on 020 7421 0294 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
