Campaigners for affordable housing will march on Holloway Prison on Saturday.
Organised by activist groups Islington Hands Off Our Public Services (IHOOPS), Islington Kill the Housing Bill and the Reclaim Justice Network, the demo will demand that the prison is replaced by council housing and community facilities once it is demolished.
The closure of the Parkhurst Road jail was announced by chancellor George Osborne last year.
As previously reported in the Gazette, prisoners began their transfer to Downview Prison in Surrey on Tuesday last week.
The latest protest will see the three activist groups gather in front of the nearby London Metropolitan University building in Holloway Road at 11.30am, before marching on the prison at midday.
