Islington brothers Conor and Asa Cusack spent four days in the saddle cycling between Sheffield and London to raise £2,500 for children in Palestine.
Conor, 40, and Asa, 35, joined in the Big Ride, a cycling fundraiser organised by charity Middle East Children’s Alliance.
Conor, who lives in Angel and works for Enfield Council, said: “I inspired to join this cycle to help the children traumatised by Israel’s bombing of Gaza last year. I felt frustrated at hearing about children suffering.”
Asa, who lives in Finsbury Park and works as a researcher in international politics at the University of London, said: “The fact that 550 Palestinian children were killed during the bombing of Gaza last year is just the tip of the iceberg. Imagine the numbers wounded and maimed, and the psychological impact.”
