A team of fundraisers from an Islington conference centre raised nearly £30,000 for charity by cycling 375 miles in six days.
Twelve members of the Bussiness Design Centre off Upper Street made the gruelling trip from the Angel of the North in Gateshead back to the centre in Angel for Islington Giving, which aids a number of good causes locally.
The six day adventure saw the team cycle through the North Yorkshire Moors, through Nottinghamshire and past Cambridge before reaching the M25. There was a slight detour to give cyclists the “treat” of freewheeling down Muswell Hill before they were welcomed back by a crowd of family on and friends on last Friday.
The total raised by the group was £29,546.88.
