Trusted traders can now get a stamp of approval from Islington Council and the top consumer charity Which? to boost their appeal in the borough.

The new partnership is launching today at Islington town hall.

Anyone who wants to be endorsed will have to undergo a thorough check, including an assessment by Which? Trusted Traders, a disclosure and barring service (FBS) check and a national Trading Standards complaints process.

Islington’s fianance and performance chief Cllr Andy Hull said: “We want to make sure Islington residents get a good deal when they hire a tradesperson.

“Our borough has a huge number of very high-skilled and effective tradespeople and we look forward to welcoming them to join our endorsement scheme.”

Raj Kakar-Clayton, MD of Which? Trusted Traders, said: “We are offering tradespeople the opportunity to be part of something that will really make them stand out in the local community.”
