The Gazette news desk met up with residents at the first of its readers’ surgeries this week.
News editor Aimee Brannen and reporters Tom Marshall and Jon Dean set up stall in the middle of the N1 Centre piazza off Upper Street, Islington, for two hours on Thursday afternoon.
The team discussed the paper with readers and passers-by, including a youngster who demanded more cartoons and celebrity gossip, while a reader called Mark insisted: “It’s perfect the way it is and I couldn’t live without it.”
A number of story suggestions were also given.
The next readers’ surgery will be held on July 6 and the venue will be announced shortly.
