Islington lecturer sets up secret Santa...for Welsh Terriers

A London Metropolitan University lecturer has set up Christmas gift exchange – for Welsh Terriers.

“You don’t have to be barking mad to do this secret Santa programme,” Wendy Sloane said, “but it helps.”

The senior lecturer for journalism added: “Dogs from all over the world, from Islington to Illinois, will be joining this year.”

Wendy started the programme last year from her office in Holloway Road. Participation has shot up from 100 to 276 this year.
