A community-made film starring actors schooled by famous drama teacher Anna Scher, has received its world premiere.

The cast and crew of U Looking At Me? got to see the film on the big screen at the Islington Vue cinema in the N1 Centre off Parkfield Street, Islington.

It focuses on bullying and stars youngsters and a handful of adults who study under Ms Scher – who helped launch the careers of Brooke Kinsella and Kathy Burke to name just two – at her famous theatre school in Risinghill Street, Islington.

To celebrate the showing they released balloons outside the N1 Centre to symbolise the hopeful message at the film’s heart.

Producer and actress Theresa Cole said: “It is about teenage issues and follows a day in the life of three teenagers. It was a real community effort, with about 50 people involved in the making. It felt great to see it on the big screen and all the actors and crew were delighted to see it.”
