People throwing out their Christmas trees are being asked to recycle them rather than throw them away.
Re-cycled trees can be shredded and turned into compost for parks, instead of being sent to landfill sites.
Islington Council are giving residents three straight forward ways to get rid of their festive foliage.
They will collect trees off estates until January 13 and pick up old trees with other recycling for those living in other streets.
And until January 13, people can drop them off in King Square, Finsbury, Barnard Park and Rosemary Gardens, Islington, Elthorne Park, Archway or the Reuse and Recycling Centre in Hornsey Street, Holloway.
