Green-fingered volunteers gave up their Saturday to dig deep and plant spring bulbs.
Residents at the recent community gardening day at Rosemary Gardens in Southgate Road, Islington, planted daffodils and crocus bulbs.
Cllr Paul Smith, Islington Council’s executive member for environment, said: “Thanks very much to these residents – hard work from volunteers makes a real difference to keeping Islington a beautiful place, especially in these times of big Government cuts to our budgets.”
