Lajay Bell sang her way to victory at the O2 in the annual Boroughs United talent competition.
The nine-year-old from Islington performed tracks made famous by chart-toppers Alicia Keys and Nicki Minaj to win the Under 13s category against 25 other performers at the IndigO2, inside the famous dome.
Lajay trains at the Upcoming Stars drama school in the Platform Youth Hub, Hornsey Road.
Jackie Clarke, Lajay’s mum and founder of Upcoming Stars, said: “Lajay was up there representing Upcoming Stars and we’re now intending to enter loads more competitions. I want to take them to Britain’s Got Talent and all the other competitions that you see on telly.
“Even though Lajay’s my daughter and I’m very proud of her, I’m really trying to instil in the class that if they work hard, they will all achieve great things.”
