A special over 90s birthday party’ took place at the Alsen Day Centre


Some of the oldest people in Islington gathered for a special birthday party.

The event - for over 90s only - took place at the Alsen Day Centre, Durham Road, Finsbury Park on November 7.

Among the six guests was who, Irene Sinclair, at 106 years old, could be the borough’s oldest resident.

Cllr Janet Burgess, Islington Council’s executive member for health and wellbeing said: “Congratulations to our very special ladies who celebrated their birthdays together at Islington’s Alsen Day Centre last week.

“A big thank you to all the staff and volunteers who made this very happy occasion possible.”
