Students at City and Islington College will now get a head start on the employment ladder with a new job search service.
The initiative, officially launched by college principal Frank McLoughlin (above), offers students the opportunity to attend group meetings, have one-to-one advice sessions, CV clinics, skills training in interview techniques as well as a direct feed of new job opportunities from Jobcentre Plus.
Job Search offers students practical help in achieving their personal goals such as finding part-time work whilst studying, full-time work after they have completed their courses and volunteering opportunities.
After the official opening many students signed up to sessions, adding to the 60 who have already made use of the service in the first eight days alone.
