A Finsbury venue will be jerking around this weekend as four of the best Jamaican chicken purveyors in town do battle on their rooftop bar.
The Jerk Off Challenge, at the Queen of Hoxton, in Curtain Road, on Sunday pits Boom Burger, Mama’s Jerk Station, Fish, Wings and Tings and White Men Can’t Jerk against each other in an all-day cook off.
The event will be hosted by Normski - host of 80’s show Dance Energy – and the Hoxton FM DJ’s will keep things rocking on the ground floor.
Vegetarians will be catered for via the in house barbecue, including grilled halloumi, polenta and more, and a £10 ticket gets you once piece of chicken from each competitor, plus two rum cocktails.
Once hungry punters have tried all four, they vote for their favourite and the winner is crowned at 7pm.
