A BUILDING in King’s Cross has been named as London’s Business Venue of the Year.
Kings Place, in York Way, beat off fierce competition from the Barbican and the Science Museum to claim the prestigious award at the BT Visit London Awards ceremony held on Thursday.
John Nugent, CEO of Kings Place Events, said: “To have been shortlisted was impressive, but to have won the award among such esteemed competition, illustrates the quality of our venue, people and product. It is such an achievement to be recognised as the leading London business venue.
“We are now firmly on the London and national stage in terms of what we offer in conferencing, hospitality and events.”
The building is home to a wide variety of enterprises from The Guardian to the London Sinfonietta orchestra and boasts an impressive contemporary art gallery and a number of spaces for musical and theatrical performance.
