A FARE evader was found with card cloning equipment when he was stopped by police on a bendy bus.
The 37-year-old man was travelling on a 73 bus along Pentonville Road, King’s Cross, on March 8 when officers boarded.
He was taken off the bus for not having paid his fare, and police decided to search him as he appeared quite agitated and nervous.
He was found in possession of a number of tools commonly used by criminals to carry out fraud at ATM cash machines and was arrested on suspicion of going equipped. He was later bailed to return to police on April 15.
Arresting Officer Sergeant Gul Khan said: “We are working hard to reduce crime on the transport network and will be carrying out more joint operations to tackle this issue”.
