You will soon be able to chop virtual fruit, fire virtual arrows and create and explore your own digital world in London’s first virtual reality venue, set to open in Holloway.

Users at DNA VR will be able to choose from 25 virtual experiences to display in their headsets, featuring classic and modern games converted for a VR format.

But gaming is not the only form of entertainment – users will also be able to draw pictures they can walk around and interact with.

“With VR you become an actor rather than a spectator whether you are conquering Everest, travelling to Mars or simply surviving a zombie apocalypse,” states the website. Rooms can be booked for up to six people at the York Way venue, which opens on Saturday next week.

Co-founder Alexander Tsyurupa said: “There’s lots of interest in VR among the young, and in Holloway there’s lots of young people, so we wanted to set up there to be close to them.”
