A driver had a lucky escape when his car flipped over onto its roof at a busy junction this morning.

The Ford Focus turned upside down at the crossroads of Brecknock Road and Camden Road, Holloway, at about 10.45am.

Police said the vehicle had flipped after it was in collision with the curb. An ambulance crew rushed to the scene but the driver was not seriously hurt.

Colin Taylor, who lives off Camden Road and snapped the scene, said: “I’m amazed he got away with it. Obviously God has a plan for him, because it looked horrendous. I think he’s a very lucky man.”

A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said: “We sent one ambulance crew and a single responder in a car. Staff treated one patient and he was taken to University College Hospital complaining of neck pain. He was not thought to be in a serious condition.”
