A man arrested in Islington in connection with the killing of soldier Lee Rigby will face no further action.
Witnesses told how the 22-year-old was arrested in St Paul’s Road, Canonbury, on May 26 – just days after Drummer Lee Rigby was hacked to death in Woolwich.
The man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and later bailed but he will face no further action after answering police bail last Tuesday. Five other men arrested in connection with the killing have also been told they will face no further action.
Two people have been charged with the murder. Michael Adebowale, 22, of Greenwich and Michael Adebolajo, 28 of Romford, Essex, deny the charge and have also pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to murder a police officer and attempted murder of a police officer.
