A MAN collapsed and died in the street on Saturday evening despite the desperate efforts of paramedics to save him.
The 55-year-old man suffered a heart attack at the junction of Offord Road and Caledonian Road, Islington, at around 7.45pm.
An ambulance was called and the man was given emergency resuscitation at the scene, but he was pronounced dead at 8pm.
