Police have taped off a section of bloodsoaked pavement in Finsbury Park after a man was attacked this evening.

The victim has been taken to hospital but his condition is not yet known.

Officers were called at 5.30pm to the junction of Seven Sisters Road and Wilberforce Road and a large cordon was put in place. Scotland Yard said there were three suspects but no one has been arrested.

One witness said the pavement and the doorway to off-licence Food City was covered in blood.
