A driver was rushed to hospital after colliding with two parked cars.

The 21-year-old man was treated for shock and chest injuries but was not seriously hurt after the smash in Newington Green Road, Newington Green, at around 5pm yesterday.

His silver Peugeot had been in collision with a parked Mini and another stationary car.

Witness Daniel Lombard, 31, of the Mayville Estate, Newington Green, said: “It looked like two of the cars were write-offs. It was very frightening and God knows what would have happened if there had been traffic or a pedestrian coming the other way at the time.”

Police said no arrests have been made.
