A man is in critical condition after being trapped under a double decker bus in Farringdon this afternoon.
A spokesman for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 1.10pm today to reports of a man trapped under a bus on Clerkenwell Road at the junction of Farringdon Road.
“We sent an ambulance crew, hazardous area response team, duty manager and London’s air ambulance to the scene. We treated the man for head and chest injuries.
“He was taken by ambulance to the Royal London Hospital trauma centre.”
The junction was cordoned off this afternoon as police inspected the scene. A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the man is in a critical condition at 4.15pm today.
