A McDonald’s in Holloway wants to open until the early hours – prompting concerns from a number of neighbours.

The Holloway Road branch of the fast food chain has asked Islington Council for permission to serve hot food and drink until 2am seven days a week.

At present, it only opens until midnight.

Four nearby residents have objected. One said: “The immediate area already has many fast-food restaurants. There is even a McDonald’s open 24 hours a day just two minutes’ walk away in Seven Sisters Road.”

A licensing committee is due to consider the application on Monday.
