A woman’s dreams came true when she took to the red carpet with a host of famous faces including Hollywood megastar Sir Michael Caine.

Chantelle Osili, 23, who lives on Caledonian Road, Holloway, attended the UK premier of Cars 2 and interviewed the cast after winning a nationwide competition set up by VUE Entertainment.

Thousands of online film buffs will now witness her report and interviews with the stars, which also included Jason Isaacs – Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films – and director, John Lasseter.

Miss Osili, who is hoping to pursue a career in film and entertainment journalism, expressed her excitement at winning the award and at the evening’s events which included a private performance from Sir Michael Caine.

She said: “It was amazing. It was such a great opportunity to interview such famous names, although it was hard work trying to contain myself in the presence of a legend like Michael Caine.

“He was really nice though, and he even gave me some lines from his character in the film and acted a few scenes out for me. Not everyone can say that Michael Caine has acted for them.”

The competition was launched to support The Vue Film Show on Channel 4, hosted by Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman, which brings viewers exclusive cast and director interviews.

Hopefuls sent their auditions via video tape to show off their interviewing skills and Miss Osili’s unique effort – she dressed up as different characters and interviewed herself – won her the prize.
