Located at 83 Seven Sisters Road, the shop sells donated second-hand furniture and electrical items.

Funds raised from the new store will help to fund the BHF’s pioneering heart research.

Area Manager Mira Palmer described the opening of the new Holloway store as a “huge success” but said the shop was still in need of donations.

“We still urgently need more donations and are appealing to everyone in the local community to have a root around in their home and donate any unwanted items. We offer a free collection service for larger household items so having a clear out has never been so easy!”

Cllr Kat Fletcher described the new shop as an “asset” to the street.

“It was great to perform the opening of the new BHF Furniture & Electrical shop in Holloway and see such a great response from local residents coming along to the store on its first day of trading,” she said. “The store will be a tremendous asset to Seven Sisters road, providing good quality and affordable home items to the community.”

Researcher Dr Olena Rudyk from Kings’ College London was also in attendance, explaining to staff and volunteers about the vital heart research she is currently undertaking into hypertension.

The Holloway BHF store offers a free collection service for larger household items which can be arranged by contacting the store directly on 0207 263 4341 or booked online here.
