New Year fills me with dread

What’s the best way to spend New Year? I’m 75, female, and each New Year fills me with dread not hope.

I know that’s not good. My son says I’m too busy counting down to see what’s ahead. He says I should get some fun. Where and how?

I lost my dear husband two years ago and can’t recover.

l Barbara says: Of course you can! Your son’s right. So this New Year’s Eve make a list of the things you always wanted and never achieved. And vow to make at least two in the coming year! Get back to me about it! Let’s live!
