North Middlesex’s Under-15s have won the Middlesex Cup, progressing to the South East regional play-offs of the national competition.
North Midd scored 146 in their 20 overs in the final, Luke Holman retiring on 50 and Ross Richardson contributing 40, before Eastcote were restricted to 112.
Coach Doug Teesdale said: “This was a well-deserved win for our boys and an excellent game of cricket.
“One of our key objectives is to provide good facilities and coaching for boys and girls who have little or no opportunity to play cricket at school. The fact that all 11 of our players in the cup-winning side attend state schools shows that we are doing something right.”
