A police officer had to be rushed to hospital after a car collided with his parked police car.

The officer sustained serious neck injuries and had to be cut out of the vehicle after the smash in Isledon Road, Holloway, at around 1.45pm on Monday (July 11).

He is recovering in a north London hospital, where his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A 34-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
