An overgrown wasteland that was bombed in World War II will be brought back to life
The plot on the corner of Upper Street and Barnsbury Street, Islington, has been derelict for years, and until recently was covered with heavy vegetation and surrounded by high railings
But now it looks set to be turned into a six storey basement building with three flats and a ground floor shop after an Islington Council planning committee gave the scheme the nod on Wednesday night.
