A pensioner has died after a collision with a car in Holloway.

The female pedestrian, believed to be a 78-year-old from north London, was in an accident with a blue Mercedes C250 in Sussex Way at around 4.50pm yesterday.

She was taken to St Mary’s Hospital where she died at around 7pm.

The woman’s next of kin have been informed and police are waiting for formal identification.

A post-mortem will be held later today.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene and spoke to police. No arrests have been made.
