A 25-year-old man is fighting for his life after being hit by a taxi in one of Islington’s busiest roads this weekend.
The man, a pedestrian, was left with potentially “life-changing” head injuries after a collision with a blue taxi in Essex Road just after 4.50am on Saturday.
He was left with bleeding on the brain, according to Islington Police.
A spokeswoman for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 4.52am on October 30 to reports of a road traffic collision involving a taxi and a pedestrian on Essex Road.
“We sent a single responder in a car and an ambulance crew to the scene. Our staff treated a 25-year-old man and took him as a priority to Royal London Hospital with multiple injuries.”
