A well-dressed gang who attacked an innocent bystander leaving him with a chipped tooth and split lip is being hunted by police.
The 21-year-old victim was walking through Angel Tube station with friends at about 12.15am on Saturday, January 25 when a group of men carried out an unprovoked assault, leaving him needing stitches.
Police have now released images of four men they want to speak to in connection with the incident.
Det Con Oliver Carne, the investigating officer, said: “The 21-year-old victim, from Ilford, was making his way through Angel London Underground station.
“A group of around four men approached them and assaulted the victim, before leaving the station.”
After viewing CCTV footage, officers are asking members of the public to help identify three men, who they think can help with the investigation.
Det Con Carne added: “This appears to be an unprovoked assault that left the victim with a chipped tooth and a split lip, requiring stitches.
“I’m urging anyone who recognises the group of men pictured, or has any information that could assist with the investigation, to please get in touch.”
