General Election 2017: Gazette to hold hustings for Islington South and Finsbury candidates

Live in the Islington South and Finsbury constituency and don’t know who to vote for in next month’s general election? The Islington Gazette is here to help. We are hosting a hustings on May 21.

Starting at 7.30pm, it will be held at St Mary’s Church in Upper Street and chaired by Gazette editor Ramzy Alwakeel.

All the candidates – incumbent Emily Thornberry (Labour), Jason Charalambous (Conservative), Alain Desmier (Lib Dem), Benali Hamdache (Green) and Pete Muswell (Ukip) – will attend the 90-minute debate.

St Mary’s Church boasts an excellent PA system and good lighting. It has a seated capacity of about 250, with standing room for 200 more. Entry will be first come, first served.
