After seven weeks of campaigning, the election results for Islington North and Islington South and Finsbury will be announced in the early hours.

The Gazette will be reporting live from the count at Sobell Leisure Centre, Holloway, with a live feed (above) from 8.30pm. Tweet @islingtongztte with your reactions and insight.

Of course, it’s a huge night for Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, who may be Prime Minister in a few hours’ time. But first, he will have to see off competition from nine candidates for his Islington North seat of 34 years.

Islington South and Finsbury incumbent Emily Thornberry will also be in the spotlight as a leading figure in Labour’s election campaign. She has four candidates vying for her seat, which she held since 2005.
