Tech City effect leaves borough second to only Westminster in number of new companies
A swathe of businesses were formed in Islington in 2014, with 16,814 companies opening up last year.
The borough was second in London behind Westminster, where 20,222 businesses sprung up. Inform-direct which compiled the data, said this was largely down to the success of Tech City, with start-ups like Huddle and Mind Candy.
