A NEW-LOOK homeless project has reopened after a major refurbishment.

St Mungo's Rosebery Avenue project in Clerkenwell provides accommodation and support for up to 22 residents.

St Mungo's regional director, David Devoy, said: "The project will support people who are successfully rebuilding their lives.

"Our focus will be to cement this process, prevent relapses and help residents move into independent accommodation. Encouraging our residents into training and employment will be an emphasis."

The Rosebery Avenue project was renovated with a grant from the Housing Corporation's National Affordable Housing programme, supported by Islington Council.

Sarah Reeder, a resident of the Rosebery Avenue project, said: "Rosebery Avenue is a supportive environment that will allow you to achieve your goals and get where you hope to be in life.
