IF there has been "clear and in depth consultation" about selling off play and green space at Hugh Myddelton School, it has escaped me and many of the other parents and carers of children at the school (Viewpoints, Gazette, February 28).
I am actually a grandad and often collect my grandchildren from the school. I usually read the Hugh Myddelton newsletters given to the children to bring home.
I had read that repairs and improvements were planned to the school but if it hadn't been for information given out in leaflets by the IWCA, I would have had no idea that it was expected that my grandchildren would have to lose 300 square metres of their playground and green space to pay for this.
I'd call offering us something positive for our children, but at the same time hiding the price tag, little more than deception, which is why so many of us have signed the petition against the plans. - Paul Benstead, Elizabeth Avenue, N1.
