Around 18 tent pitches and other equipment belonging to inequality campaign group the Occupy movement appeared in Rosemary Gardens, off Downham Road, Islington, overnight on June 26.
Council officers, police and dogs gathered to move the group on, and the gardens were clear by the end of the following day.
Officers said some of the occupiers looked familiar and it is thought they came from the Finsbury Square site to Shoreditch Park in Hackney, then to Rosemary Gardens
Cllr Paul Convery, executive member of community safety, said: “We were very relaxed about this, it wasn’t a big deal. Apart from a bit of rubbish and some scorch marks where barbecues had been, they didn’t get dug in and weren’t able to cause much damage.”
