A teenage boy was today being held on suspicion of murder following a fatal attack in a Seven Sisters Road cafe.

The boy, 17, was being questioned at an east London police station.

Detectives are still appealing for witnesses to the incident at the Bethel Cafe Restaurant on Tuesday night, which left the 40-year-old victim fighting for his life into Wednesday afternoon.

The cafe is yards from Finsbury Park station.

His next of kin have been told, police said, but he has not been formally identified. A post mortem will take place today.
