The Victoria Line will be closed this weekend as part of major signal improvement works.

Passengers are advised to use other routes as the service will be closed completely on Saturday and Sunday.

A spokeswoman for Transport for London said: “The closure allows us to move closer to finishing our new signalling system.

“Having completed the Walthamstow to Finsbury Park section, we’re now moving to the area between Highbury & Islington and Euston where the old system will be unplugged and the new one plugged in.

This requires a lot of
testing to make sure everything is running smoothly.
A whole weekend closure is essential.”
