A site manager for the Lexicon development in Islington has won a Seal of Excellence in the second round of the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards 2015.

Andy Hunt, from the specialist residential developers Mount Anvil, was one of 14 selected from around 15,000 UK site managers recognised at a ceremony held in Brighton.

Located in City Road, the 36-storey development has a total of 307 homes across three buildings.

Known as the ‘Oscars of the House Building Industry’, the awards have been rewarding site managers for 35 years.

Mehban Chowdery, NHBC Regional Director, said: “Last year NHBC registered over 28,500 new homes in London, site managers play an important role in delivering these. And by adding a competitive element to house building, recognising exceptional site managers like Andy, Pride in the Job promotes continuous improvement in the quality of new homes, year on year, for homeowners and their families to enjoy. I have visited hundreds of sites, and to reach this level of the competition means without question you have to be the elite of this industry.

“Andy is building homes of a very high standard, and is worthy of a Seal of Excellence. At NHBC we believe that recognising the workmanship of the best site managers plays an important role in bringing high quality homes to consumers, creating homes we are proud to live in.”
