Two teenagers were hospitalised with slash wounds after a dawn attack in City Road on Sunday.

Police and paramedics were called at about 5.40am to reports of a double assault – and they found two 19-year-old men suffering from “slash injuries” at the scene.

Both victims were taken to hospital. Neither of them has life threatening injuries.

A Scotland Yard spokesperson said: “Enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.”

No arrests have yet been made.
