I gather that your paper is giving Ben Kinsella's family much support in their efforts to stem the tide of knife crime, the like of which has devastated them for ever and a day.

Family breakdown and loss of paternal role models are one of the major causes why our youngsters are turning to gangs.

I for my part, as chairman of the NSCFC, can only but use dear Ben's untimely passing as a catalyst for change - a need that must be met if we are to bring an end to a seed the Government sowed by backing a family law system which debars wholesome fathers, grandparents, indeed all on the paternal side, after separation or divorce. This to the very detriment of children who need such role models throughout their formative years.
