A popular Holloway cafe is planning a gala day to honour the 100th anniversary of the day the most famous passenger ship in history sank.

The Titantic Cafe, in Holloway Road, is marking the date its namesake hit an iceberg in the Atlantic with a day of celebrations.

On April 15, between 9am and 6pm, customers will be able to enjoy 50 per cent off the entire menu, and there will be balloons, artwork, old news footage and outdoor seating.

Aligul Karagoz, who runs the cafe, said: “We want to make it a big day to remember, and attract people from all over London, not just Holloway.

“If the sun is shining it will be a day to remember – we are really going to town and it will be a big surprise for everyone who comes down.”
