Artists from the Barbican Arts Trust are flinging open their doors to the public this week.
The artists are celebrating their second anniversary in a new building by inviting the public into the “alchemical chambers” of their studios.
The creative spaces of 17 artists working in the building, at the junction of Downham and Hertford Road, will be open with pieces of their work available for “silent auction” in person and on the web – at prices up to 50 per cent lower than from a gallery.
The exhibition will be open today (Saturday) and Sunday 12-6pm while bidding is open now at www.barbican artsgrouptrust.co.uk.
The artists moved to their new space after spending years in an old building by the canal under threat of demolition.
