All of Islington’s parks have been closed with immediate effect due to Storm Doris.
The parks will be closed until tomorrow morning as a safety precaution, Islington Council has announced.
Islington’s main parks include Barnard Park, Caledonian Park, Elthorne Park, King Square Gardens, Paradise Park, Rosemary Gardens, Spa Fields, Whittington Park and Wray Crescent.
The town hall said any sports bookings have been cancelled, and apologised for inconvenience caused.
The Met Office has predicted gusts of 60mph to 70mph, calling Storm Doris a “weather bomb”.
