A woman has died from massive head injuries after a fall on the pavement outside Finsbury Park Station yesterday afternoon.

Police and ambulance crews raced to the scene, under the bridge on Seven Sisters Road near junction with Fonthill Road at about 3.10pm to reports of woman collapsing in the street.

London’s Air Ambulance landed in nearby Finsbury Park and tried to resuscitate the woman, thought to be in her 60s, who was in cardiac arrest.

They took her as a priority her to the Royal London Hospital, but she later died from massive head trauma.

A second incident across the road at the with St Thomas’s Road about 90 minutes later saw a car and a pedestrian in collision.

The male victim, thought to be 58, was treated at the scene taken to hospital where his injuries were described as non-life threatening or life-changing.
