Woman in hospital after being hit by car near Old Street roundabout

A woman in her 20s is in hospital this morning after being hit by a car near the Old Street roundabout.

Police were called to City Road at the junction with Leonard Street just before 1.50am. Medics took the pedestrian to hospital where she is being treated for injuries not said to be life-threatening or life-changing.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene and not arrests have been made.

City Road was closed in both directions while emergency services dealt with the situation but have since been reopened.
