More than 120 people took part in a gruelling fitness exercise in a bid to set a world record.
Students and staff were involved in the event at London Metropolitan University’s science centre in Hornsey Road, Holloway, on Friday.
A total of 122 held an abdominal plank for a minute. It involves keeping your body in the push up position. Organisers are now waiting to hear if they have created a new Guinness World Record for the most people in an abdominal plank at the same time.
Kevin Campbell-Karn, senior lecturer in sports science and therapy, said: “There was an amazing buzz in the hall. You could feel the excitement in the air.” .”physiotherapist David Wales attended.
